Acceptable Use Policy

1. Permitted Use

This API is provided for legitimate network administration, email infrastructure management, security research, and abuse prevention. You may query IP addresses you administer, monitor, or have a legitimate operational reason to investigate.

2. Prohibited Use

• Systematic scanning of IP ranges you do not own or administer without authorisation.
• Using results to harass, threaten, or target individuals.
• Reselling raw API responses without adding substantial value.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer rate limits, circumvent authentication, or abuse the service.
• Using the API as a component of any attack infrastructure.

3. Rate Limits

Free-tier keys are limited to 50 IP checks per day. Paid-tier keys are limited to 10,000 IP checks per day. CIDR scanning (up to /28) is available on paid plans only. Per-/24 prefix limits apply to prevent reconnaissance scanning.

4. Data Accuracy

Results are aggregated from third-party DNS-based blocklists. We do not operate the blocklists and cannot guarantee their accuracy. Listings reflect real-time DNSBL state at the time of query, cached for up to one hour.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to revoke API keys that violate this policy without notice.
